Future visions

I watched the music video for The Postal Service song “Such Great Heights” for the first time, and I couldn’t help but think of George Lucas’ first feature film, “THX 1138.” It’s been quite some time since I’ve seen the film, but it reminded me of the factory scenes where THX 1138 worked.

As for the film itself, I thought it was all right when you forgive it for multiple things — the technology available, a first film, a different concept, low budget, etc. — but I’d want to watch it again with some more background information and with a commentary track to get what Lucas was thinking during certain shots.
