Stamps: Dinosaurs are awesome
I was really into dinosaurs as a kid, so imagine how thrilled I was when the USPS issued these dinosaur stamps in 1989. After some googling, I think these stamps generated a bit of controversy as scientists claimed the labeling of “brontosaurus” was incorrect as the dinosaur is really an “apatosaurus.” I appreciate their geekiness, but that’s kind of splitting hairs. The brontosaurus was really lame as a dinosaur, especially compared to my favorite: the stegosaurus.
