Snail mail stamps

Growing up, I had lots of different hobbies and collected all sorts of things. While I’ve never consistently collected one particular category for an entire lifetime, I’m still rather smug in my ability to still have retained the bulk of my childhood collections.

During Thanksgiving break, I was ordered by my mom to clean out a closet and soon I stumbled upon my stamp collection. Inside two albums are perhaps a few hundred stamps (I never really counted) that instantly jogged my memories of my fascination with these tiny pieces of adhesive paper.

I’ve got stamps from across the world, which is even more amazing to me. So, I’ve decided to start posting a few of them on a regular basis for everyone to enjoy. The first is a stamp of a fire engine from the transportation coil collection. What struck me about this stamp is its odd denomination of 20.5 cents.

Me: I’ll drink to that. [...]
